I confess I have no idea what to post about this week. I am stuck deep in the trenches, torn between editing and studying for my Real Estate Exam… which is in two days. Pray for me friends – I’m not sure I’ll get through this with my sanity intact.
Also, send snacks if you can. I confess I have been stress eating like no tomorrow lately (do you blame me?) and we are running low on munchies.
It’s that time of the week again – WIPpet time!
Lately, I’ve been sharing snippets from a Star Wars fanfic I work on from time to time. Things got a little spicy last week, and, well, the next couple of paragraphs that follow that scene are even spicier. While they aren’t explicit or even vaguely detailed, they aren’t something I’m really comfortable with sharing on the blog. So here’s a bit of dialogue from a little bit later – after things have cooled down a bit.
Here are 17 sentences, because it’s 2017 (I’m sorry, my brain is too fried from real estate math to think of anything more complicated…)
“This seems to be a recurring theme in our relationship – you always worrying about taking advantage of me.”
“It could be worse, I suppose.”
“Yeah,” She agreed. “You could be Wes.”
He snorted and she felt his shoulders jerk against hers. “That would be worse wouldn’t it?”
“Thank you.”
“For what?”
“Coming to check on me. Even if I am fine, I still appreciate it. And I’m grateful for the reminder that I’m not alone.” Anagha gave his hand a squeeze, trying desperately to ignore the spark that shot through her body the moment she touched him. Down girl, she told herself. You’re still in the middle of a war zone and you need to be ready to hop in your x-wing at any minute.
Hobbie, however, had no such compunctions. She felt his mouth press against hers once more, and, despite her best intentions, it wasn’t long before they found themselves moving together once more. But this time, they made sure to utilize the bed.

The story with Hobbie and Anagha is that they were an item before and things ended badly. It’s been about 20 years since then and they’ve reconnected while she is trying to save the world she grew up on. If you go back through the Star Wars tag you’ll see more snippets from their past 😊
Wes is a mutual friend who is a bit more promiscuous and tried to hit on Anagha while she was in a horrible situation. He has a bad case of insert foot in mouth that tends to come out at the worst times.

I don’t know much about Star Wars (beyond the movies), but these two are great together! That spark is almost tangible!
