I apologize for not being able to comment on anyone’s posts last week, and not replying on comments for so long. After getting our internet back up and running, I spent most of the weekend rushing around to finish assignments for my last class of the semester. Unfortunately, I didn’t do as well as I wanted on some of them since I was a few days late turning them in (Thanks internet fiasco) but I still passed the class so that’s good. I’ve registered for next semester, and I’ve been talking to different real estate brokers to see what their companies offer.
In other news the local Regional Center has increased Boyo’s hours from 6 to 10 a week – 2 hours a day – tentatively. After the New Year we’ll reevaluate to see how he is handling the schedule and go from there. We were a bit worried about how he would handle the extra hours, but so far he’s doing really well. His speech is improving by leaps and bounds and his attention span is increasing. He’s starting to sing songs, he knows his numbers up to 20, and he knows a majority of his letters (he really likes C and T and gets stuck on them a lot).
The increased therapy hours does mean I get some more time to write during the day. I just finished cleaning up a short little story to share next week, and I’ve been chipping away at the Descendants more and more. I’m also trying to finish up something to publish under one of my pen names, but I don’t think I’ll get it done in time.
Anywho, it’s Wednesday, which means another WIPpet snippet!
Today is the 14th of December, so I’ll be sharing two sentences from the short story I’ll be posting next week (14-12=2). This takes place in the Dragonriders of Pern Fanfic that I share occasionally, where Domick has ended up on Earth at a Renaissance Faire. It’s Christmas time at the Faire, so Norah has been trying to explain some of our traditions to him but Domick feels they are a bit silly.
Domick had found the concept of a higher all knowing power a bit hard to believe. When he had said as much, Norah had snorted and told him that he shouldn’t think so little of people and their beliefs when he claimed he came from world that was filled with flying, fire breathing dragons.

Fair comment, Norah. 😀 I like the idea of a Christmas renaissance faire. I might have to see if I can find one local to me.

Haha, she makes a fair point. Though I guess if Norah ended up visitng Pern, the fire-breathing dragons would be easier to prove than the beliefs that she’s talking about…
Glad to hear that Boyo’s extra time at the centre is going well, and especially that you’ve got a bit extra writing time! 🙂
